Our client, a leading organization in facility management and technical services, is seeking a dedicated Operating Engineer to join their team. As an Operating Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Maintenance Department supporting critical infrastructure and ensuring optimal operation of building systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, independence, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Pay rate: $34/hr
What's the Job?
- Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to ensure they meet applicable standards.
- Conduct routine inspections, calibrations, and part replacements to maintain HVAC systems at peak performance.
- Record system readings, make adjustments, and troubleshoot issues to ensure continuous operation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment adhering to safety protocols and hazardous material handling procedures.
- Coordinate with outside contractors, monitor work quality, and manage inventory of tools and instruments.
What's Needed?
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 2-4 years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
- Strong HVAC background with chiller experience; EPA Universal Certification highly preferred.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems effectively.
- Proficiency with computer applications such as Word and Excel.
