Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) –La Jolla, CA

A healthcare organization is seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join its surgical services team. Responsibilities

• Assess patients and prepare them for surgical procedures

• Develop and implement individualized perioperative care plans

• Assist with patient positioning, surgical preparation, and intraoperative care

• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status

• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed

• Maintain a safe and sterile surgical environment

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and operating room staff to coordinate patient care

• Support a variety of surgical specialties and procedures as assigned

• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner

• Educate patients and family members regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and postoperative care

• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Previous operating room or perioperative nursing experience required

• Certification in perioperative nursing preferred

• Experience supporting multiple surgical specialties preferred

• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
