Deer Valley Surgical and Endoscopy Center, an HonorHealth -Sovereign Healthcare joint-venture free-standing ambulatory surgery center located in Phoenix, AZ is seeking experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses.

Operating Room RN

The Operating Room RN will provide direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patients.

Specialties include: Orthopedics, Podiatry, ENT, GYN, Urology, General and Plastic Reconstructive

Essential Functions

• Prepares surgical suite supplies and equipment to ensure the needs of the surgical team are met
• Utilizes equipment according manufacturer’s recommendations and facility policies and procedures
• Monitors, positions, and assists during procedures
• Ability to address all aspects of care related to the surgical environment.
• Ensures on-going communication with the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and other members of the surgical team
• Assists with the preparation and turnover of room to ensure optimal efficiency
• Ensure the O.R.’s are adequately stocked for cases
• Pulls cases for next day when requested
• Provides input regarding equipment needs and supplies
• Demonstrates cost containment techniques
• Utilizes time effectively
• Adheres to established safety requirements and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
• Demonstrates good judgement and reasoning when investigating and solving problems
• Demonstrates excellent prioritization and problem-solving skills
• Provides and maintains an organized field and physical environment following infection control guidelines and policies and procedures.
• Works well with supervisor and all others in positions of authority
• Promotes a high degree of cooperation, communication and coordination with other employees and physicians

Skills and Requirements

• Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school. License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.
• One year recent Operating Room experience preferred
