Why This Role Matters
The Operating Room is one of the most specialized environments within a hospital. Every surface, supply, and workspace must meet rigorous standards to support patient care and infection prevention.
As a Perioperative Support Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring surgical spaces remain clean, organized, stocked, and ready for the next day's procedures. Your work directly supports surgeons, nurses, anesthesia teams, and most importantly, our patients.
What You'll Do
Perform cleaning and turnover of Operating Room suites according to established protocols and infection prevention standards.
Support terminal cleaning activities and maintain cleanliness throughout perioperative areas.
Assist with setup, organization, and preparation of surgical rooms and support spaces.
Transport equipment, specimens, and supplies as needed.
Stock and maintain surgical supplies and equipment.
Collaborate with Surgical Services staff to ensure a safe, organized, and efficient environment.
Maintain restricted and semi-restricted areas according to department standards.
Support patient safety initiatives through attention to detail and adherence to infection control practices.
Assist with equipment cleaning, maintenance, and readiness.
Respond to departmental needs while maintaining a professional and team-focused approach.
Schedule
Night Shift Position
This role is primarily focused on maintaining and preparing perioperative environments during overnight hours when surgical activity is reduced, allowing dedicated attention to cleaning, organization, stocking, and room readiness.
Specific schedule details will be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications
RQI Provider (BLS) within 7 days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care, whichever comes first.
Previous working knowledge of cleaning equipment and devices, including mops, vacuums, scrubbers, and polishing equipment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
Two (2) years of Surgical Aide experience.
Previous experience working in an operating room or surgical services environment.
Experience with surgical equipment and perioperative support functions.
Shift:
Night Shift - 8 Hours (United States of America)Schedule: 5 - 8hr shifts per/wk Nights
Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
