Local Pay:$47–$50/hour ($1,762–$1,875/week), based on experience
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Technician (Surgical Technologist) to join a busy acute care surgical team. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in a high-acuity trauma or teaching hospital environment and be comfortable assisting with a wide variety of surgical procedures. This position requires flexibility to work evening shifts and rotate between 8-hour and 12-hour schedules.
Schedule
Evening shifts
Rotating schedule including:
11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
11:00 AM – 11:30 PM
Mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts
Responsibilities
Prepare operating rooms before surgical procedures.
Set up sterile instruments, equipment, and surgical supplies.
Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.
Assist surgeons and the surgical team during operations.
Perform surgical scrubbing duties for a variety of specialties.
Anticipate the needs of surgeons during procedures.
Ensure proper handling, counting, and documentation of surgical instruments and supplies.
Maintain patient safety and adhere to infection control standards.
Collaborate effectively with nurses, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
Required Qualifications
Education & Certification
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required.
Current certification in good standing.
Experience
Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room experience within the last 4 years.
Experience in an acute care hospital, Level I/Level II trauma center, teaching hospital, or similarly complex surgical environment.
Previous scrub experience is required.
First-time travelers are welcome if they have experience in hospitals of similar size and complexity.
