Description
Pro Resources is seeking a 1st and 2nd Shift Operating Technician for a client in Elkhart, IN. The Operating Technician is responsible for set-up, starting and running manufacturing equipment under the guidance of the Production Shift Leader. Accountabilities also include ensuring that jobs meet quality specifications, manufacturing standards and that safety procedures are followed while working to continuously improve quality and productivity of manufacturing operations.
Shift and Compensation
- 1st and 2nd Shift
- Pay is from 19.40 / hour
Job Duties
- Set-up, operate and troubleshoot equipment to produce thermoformed parts and implement solutions to complex process problems.
- Understand and apply principles to operate machinery and equipment independently
- Ensure maximum efficiency of machine set-up.
- Inspect and perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the machinery, equipment and facility.
- Assist with development of new product and processes.
- Train new operating technicians.
- Ensure part quality meets established standards and identify issues that adversely affect product requirements and communicate with the appropriate departments.
- Identify nonconforming materials, product and records while working with shift leaders or quality systems personnel for resolution.
Background Profile
- Mechanical aptitude
- A minimum of three (3) years experience operating thermoforming equipment
- Ability to run all department machine platforms at expert level
- Must be able to speak and read English to meet safety, training and quality requirements
