Join the Green Team: Operations Supervisor (Gainesville, FL)
Ready to lead the charge in the \"Gator Nation\"? At GFL Environmental, we don't just manage waste; we're on a mission to provide sustainable environmental solutions to the communities where we live and work. We are looking for an Operations Supervisor who is high-energy, local-focused, and ready to lead a world-class team in Gainesville.

If you're a natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and isn't afraid to get your boots a little dirty to get the job done right, we want you on our team!

The Role: Why it's Exciting

You aren't just sitting behind a desk. You are the heartbeat of our local operations. You'll be the bridge between the frontline and the finish line-ensuring our fleet is running, our team is safe, and our Gainesville customers are happy.

What You'll Do (The "Green" Print):
  • Coach & Conquer: Lead, train, and inspire a productive workforce. You're not just a boss; you're a mentor helping your team grow.
  • Safety First, Always: You'll be the champion of our "Safe for Life" culture, conducting safety meetings and ensuring everyone goes home the same way they arrived.
  • Efficiency Expert: Implement preventive maintenance and manage inventory like a pro to keep our downtime low and our performance high.
  • Community Face: Project a professional image and ensure we are conforming to all local and federal regulations. You represent the GFL brand in the Gainesville community!

What We're Looking For:
  • Experience: 3+ years in the waste industry (Landfill or Transfer experience is a huge plus!).
  • Leadership: At least 1 year of supervisory experience. You know how to motivate a team.
  • Grit: You're comfortable working outdoors (about 70% of the time) and can handle the Florida heat and the hustle of a loud, busy site.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Certifications: Ability to obtain a SWANA certification (for Transfer Stations) within 60 days.

Why GFL?
