At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.

As an Operations and Systems Integrator for the New Glenn program, you will play a critical role in developing and operating the next generation of heavy-lift launch vehicles. This position requires applying systems engineering practices across multiple disciplines to achieve our vision of "millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth."

You will be a key contributor and authority on all aspects of your assigned subsystems, including the Concept of Operations (CONOPS), functional architecture, components, software, and integrated system interactions. Working closely with design, manufacturing, and operations teams, you will follow the development of component hardware and autonomous software through integrated testing. Your primary goal is to ensure seamless system integration and feed lessons learned forward into the operational phase of the flight vehicle.

The ideal candidate is diligent, future-thinking, and can manage a broad set of complex data. You will work across subsystems to support coordinated solutions, create constraints and limits for test and launch teams, and ensure the consistent implementation of system engineering practices across the program. A deep passion for Blue Origin's mission is essential.

Special Mentions:

Relocation provided
Travel expected up to 15% of the time
Shifts available:
Predominately first shift, nights or weekends at surge times

Interviews will include a technical assessment

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Develop and maintain Concept of Operations (CONOPS) documentation.

Author operations documents defining product testing requirements, operations lifecycle, maintenance needs, and critical system interfaces.
Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and operations teams to ensure seamless system integration.
Support hardware design reviews, technical assessments, and gated program reviews.
Develop comprehensive test plans, procedures, and acceptance criteria for mechanical subsystems.
Define, validate, and verify system requirements at all program levels using tools like DOORS Next Gen.
Conduct and support functional analysis, systems analysis, and safety analysis to ensure robust design.
Provide real-time on-console support for integrated tests, launch, and recovery operations, including essential troubleshooting.
Analyze test data to provide actionable recommendations for design improvements.
Support failure analysis and the implementation of corrective actions.

Passion for Blue Origin's mission: Millions of people living and working in space!
Minimum of a B.S. degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial) or another technical field.

Must be a self-directed individual capable of balancing several tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree in an engineering discipline.
4+ years of proven experience in a relevant field.
Experience in the development, integration, testing, and operation of launch vehicles and complex aerospace mechanical systems (e.g., TVC, Hydraulic Actuators, APU, Electromechanical Actuators).
Experience with systems engineering tools such as DOORS Next Gen.
Knowledge and experience with verification planning, coordination, and the delivery of verification closure notices.
