Overview
We are seeking an experienced Operational Technology (OT) Security Architect to define and govern an enterprise wide security framework that protects OT and Industrial Control System (ICS) environments. This role blends deep cybersecurity expertise with strong business acumen to translate business objectives into a practical, standards based OT security architecture.
The OT Security Architect partners closely with OT operations, IT security, engineering, and senior leadership to ensure secure IT/OT integration, effective risk management, and compliance with industry standards. This position reports to the Director of Security Architecture.

Responsibilities

Security Architecture & Strategy
  • Design and lead implementation of security architectures for new OT systems and enhancements to existing systems
  • Translate business initiatives into a comprehensive OT security architecture aligned with risk appetite and operational needs
  • Define, maintain, and govern OT security standards, reference architectures, and policies
Risk Management & Roadmapping
  • Lead OT risk assessments and gap analyses
  • Develop and maintain a multi year OT security roadmap aligned with business objectives
  • Apply threat modeling frameworks to OT/ICS environments
Technology Governance & Evaluation
  • Assess current OT security technologies and evaluate emerging solutions
  • Ensure technology selections align with architectural vision and long term strategy
Compliance & Audit Support
  • Establish governance frameworks to ensure compliance with internal standards and industry regulations
  • Support audit readiness and remediation tracking related to OT security controls
Cross Functional Leadership
  • Act as the primary liaison between OT operations, IT security, engineering teams, and leadership
  • Clearly communicate risks, tradeoffs, and security posture to technical and non technical stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 10+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 5+ years focused on OT/ICS security
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, GICSP, or ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Expert
  • Strong understanding of OT security architecture and governance
Technical Expertise Required:
  • Secure remote access solutions for OT environments (e.g., privileged access, OT specific remote access platforms)
  • Network segmentation strategies and OT security architecture patterns
  • OT network monitoring and intrusion detection technologies
  • Modern hybrid OT architectures (Industry 4.0, edge computing, connected OT/IT environments)
  • Working knowledge of major cloud service providers
  • Development of OT security policies and supporting technical standards
  • Strong working knowledge of the IEC/ISA 62443 framework

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience defining and executing enterprise scale OT security strategies
  • Strong background partnering with operations and engineering teams in industrial environments
  • Experience influencing security outcomes in highly regulated or safety critical environments
