    Description

    The Operations Administrator oversees the administrative and operational functions of the Section of General Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, and Palliative Medicine. This position is responsible for the reconciliation of accounts and management of budget statements with the exception of sponsored activity. Coordinates and manages all faculty schedules for both inpatient and outpatient assignments in partnership with Section Chief(s) and Associate Section Chief(s). Manages faculty onboarding including licensure, credentialing, hospital privileges, and orientation. Tracks and manages faculty license renewals and hospital privilege reappointments for 60 faculty members. Processes and tracks all accounts receivable and payable activity. She/he will serve as the principle facilities/logistics resource manager for the section. Will provide administrative assistance to the Section Chief(s). Responsible for hiring, managing, and offboarding all student workers.

    Required Education and Experience:

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent
    • 3 years of administrative experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Associate Degree in Business or related subject
    • Supervisory experience
    • Ability to supervise employees and students.
    • Ability to communicate effectively between department and other university units.
    • Must be highly organized and self-motivated, able to work independently.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and Tulane systems: Banner, TAMS, HCM, Kronos, Cognos, Concur, E-IT, Interfolio.
    • Expert in time management and flexibility with multiple demands.
    • Willingness to work irregular hours for events.
    • Ability to work in a team environment.
    • Ability to adapt to new software, digital media, and on-line systems.
