Operations and Maintenance Program Lead

This position is responsible for oversight and management of the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) maintenance program in Tallahassee, FL. The individual will manage operations of the warehouse and maintenance yard, including operation of equipment, inventory tracking, equipment and facility maintenance, and other tasks as assigned.

The individual must be able to travel and is expected to be responsive after hours, on weekends, and during emergency events. Individual will be based in Tallahassee, FL working between several locations in the area. Travel is expected during emergency response events.

What You’ll Do:

• Performs technical discipline tasks including research, reports, design, specification and plan preparation to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
• Actively manages project scope, schedule and budget. Serves as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets and scope of work to completion and to the client’s satisfaction.
• Implements the firm’s project delivery plan using HNTB’s Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project.
• Develops project scope and fee quotation, and assists in the preparation of proposals and contracts.
• Coordinates work efforts and reviews of work performed by project team. Supervises and mentors team to overall project objectives.
• Oversees project staffing with departments, offices and divisions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

• High school diploma and 7 years of engineering maintenance or related experience

What We Prefer:

• Hands-on experience managing equipment, vehicles, or inventory, including inspections, maintenance, and readiness.
• Experience with warehouse inventory and asset tracking.
• Planning, time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks and changing priorities.
• Strong organization and prioritization skills.
• Exceptional oral and written communications skills.
• Ability to effectively interact with and build relationships.
