Operations Consulting Lead

Location: New York City, NY
Salary: $100,000.00 USD Annually - $150,000.00 USD Annually
Description: We are seeking an Operations Consulting Lead to support our client, an insurance leader based in FiDi.  This full-time, on-site role will provide day-to-day operational oversight for the Claims function while supporting cross-functional strategic initiatives and ad-hoc executive priorities.

Serving as a central coordination point between senior leadership and operational teams, this individual will ensure core claims execution and parallel work streams remain aligned, on schedule, and performance-driven.

The ideal candidate has experience exceeding expectations as a reliable consulting resource and brings strong operational leadership experience, executive presence, and structured program oversight capabilities. While direct Insurance Claims experience is not required, the candidate must demonstrate the ability to quickly understand operational environments, key stakeholder personas, drive accountability, and maintain execution discipline across multiple concurrent priorities. This role is based in the Financial District (FiDi) and requires 4 days a week of on-site collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee daily operational management of the Claims function, ensuring workflow continuity, SLA adherence, and execution quality.

2. Partner directly with senior executives to provide updates, escalate risks, and align operational priorities with strategic objectives.

3. Manage parallel workstreams, including ongoing operational delivery and ad-hoc strategic initiatives.

4. Establish operational cadence through structured reporting, dashboards, and executive-ready status summaries.

5. Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders (Claims, Technology, Finance, Transformation, etc.) to ensure project milestones remain on track.

6. Identify operational risks, bottlenecks, or resource constraints and implement mitigation strategies.

7. Drive accountability across onshore and offshore teams, ensuring clarity of ownership and measurable outcomes.

8. Support process improvement efforts and modernization initiatives through structured project management and change oversight.

9. Maintain strong governance practices across operational execution, including documentation standards, decision tracking, and performance monitoring.

10. Serve as the central operational liaison between executive leadership and frontline teams

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree
• Project Management in a Consulting capacity
• Five years of operational excellence and transformation experience
• Proficient stakeholder management and excellence in project delivery 
• Regulatory compliance and project governance standards
• Exceptional communication and documentation
• Experience with autonomous execution and agentic workflows preferred
