At Excelitas Technologies you are how we EXCEL.We are seeking an Operations Controller who works as a key finance business partner supporting plant operations manufacturing leadership and corporate finance. This role is responsible for managing and analyzing all aspects of a plants financial performance realted to manufacturing cost inventory production variances capital investments and standard costing.Main ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & AnalysisOwn and manage the financial performance of the Boulder manufacturing plant including manufacturing cost inventory CAPEX and cost of goods sold.Prepare and analyze monthly forecasts annual budgets and standard cost updates in coordination with plant leadership and the North American Operations Controlling team.Support monthly variance analysis labor overhead absorption material usage and purchase price variances and provide clear commentary to management.Identify and validate Continuous Improvement CI and Savings initiatives in collaboration with Operations and Engineering.Reporting & Month-End CloseLead and execute month-end closing activities for the plant including inventory reconciliation WIP review variance analysis and production order settlement.Ensure compliance with corporate closing timelines targeting a 4-day close.Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts related to inventory GRIR and fixed assets.Support the calculation and reporting of warranty provisions inventory reserves and E&O Excess & Obsolete inventory.Costing & Inventory ControlWork with EngineeringMaintain accurate BOMs routings and cost center rates in SAP S4HANA to ensure correct product costing.Support annual standard cost roll and ensure alignment with corporate guidelines.Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to monitor inventory accuracy cycle counts and scrap reporting.Drive continuous improvement in inventory valuation COGS tracking and variance management.Capital Expenditures CAPEXCoordinate with Engineering and Operations to develop and track CAPEX requests and spending.Support Investment Management processes including project approval capitalization and depreciation tracking.Provide post-implementation financial reviews and ROI validation for completed projects.Compliance Systems & Process ImprovementEnsure adherence to US GAAP SOX and internal control requirements.Support standardization of reporting and control processes across sites in collaboration with the North American Controlling team.Participate in ERP SAP S4HANA and EPM Enterprise Performance Management system initiatives for automation and efficiency.Partner cross-functionally with Operations Supply Chain Engineering and Corporate Finance to implement best practices.Other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or other equivalent accreditation.Minimum 5 years of manufacturing finance or cost accounting experience.Strong understanding of SAP including production orders internal orders and cost center accounting.Experience in discrete manufacturing or high-techoptics industry preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Power BI or similar analytics tools.Demonstrated experience with financial forecasting variance analysis and standard costing.Strong analytical communication and business partnering skillsBenefits start day 1 Medical Dental Vision 401K Self-Managed Vacation Holiday Pay PAID MaternityPaternity leave Tuition Reimbursement Long-term and Short-term disability.Pay Range 114000-140000 based on experienced and education.Our facility in Boulder Colorado has key functions in Research and Development Operations Production and other disciplines.
