As a department Generalist in Trust Operations, you will support Edward Jones Trust Company, clients and branch teams by supporting multiple complex processes, driving process improvements, resolving escalations timely and serving as a key resource for peers. This role may have a variety of daily and periodic responsibilities based on the department's business needs and requires strong problem solving, communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop deep subject matter expertise in the team's core and critical functions, including a clear understanding of both the "why" and the "how" behind the work, as well as the upstream and downstream impacts on key stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, streamline or eliminate unnecessary work, and reduce risk, and take initiative to help implement meaningful solutions.
  • This individual will be responsible for performing multiple complex operations functions (i.e. fees, commissions, house account reconciliations) based on a comprehensive understanding of the work.
  • This individual will frequently serve as a team resource, filling whatever needs exist based on volume, staffing variations, and overall department needs.
  • Serve as a SME and escalation point of contact.
  • Department representation on broader business plan initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience is preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in a financial services environment (i.e. brokerage, banking, insurance, etc.) required.
  • Must have strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and handle a heavy workload in order to be able to fulfill all the roles within the department.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • High level of learning agility
  • Advanced Excel Skills
