Job Description:

Operations Director

Location: Plano, Texas (Partial Remote)

Employment Type: Contract

Role Overview

The Operations Director oversees field and network operations to ensure efficient service delivery, strong customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and safe working conditions. This role involves leading multiple operational areas, managing budgets, improving processes, maintaining infrastructure, and developing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations and enforce company, customer, and operational policies.
  • Improve processes to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee network/plant maintenance, installation, dispatch, and compliance functions.
  • Manage operating and capital budgets.
  • Lead staffing, training, and team development.
  • Ensure safety compliance for employees and contractors.
  • Coordinate vendors and subcontractors, including onboarding and credentialing.
  • Maintain service levels, SLA standards, and FCC compliance.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 8+ years of business management experience, ideally in cable or telecommunications. A minimum of 5+ years managing multiple departments in field operations or similar environments is required. Experience launching telecom products/services is also necessary.

Technical Skills: Knowledge of HFC and fiber networks. Strong proficiency in MS Office is required.

Other: Strong leadership, change management, and project management skills are required. A valid driver's license is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

The pay rate for this position is $75.00 per hour. A comprehensive benefits package may be available to eligible employees.
