Job Description

The Crisis Center for South Suburbia (CCSS) is seeking an experienced, organized, and solutions-focused Operations, Facilities & Partnerships Manager to provide agency-wide leadership for the operational infrastructure that supports our programs, administrative offices, shelter, and Neat Repeats retail locations.

This is a hands-on management role for someone who enjoys creating order, solving problems, developing people, and making sure the behind-the-scenes work of an organization runs smoothly. From facilities and maintenance to logistics, vehicles, vendors, supplies, and community partnerships, this position plays an important role in keeping CCSS locations safe, functional, efficient, and ready to support our mission.

What You'll Do

As the Operations, Facilities & Partnerships Manager, you will:
  • Lead day-to-day operational functions across CCSS locations, including facilities, maintenance, logistics, supplies, vehicles, inventory, and vendor services.
  • Directly supervise the Maintenance team and staff assigned to operational functions, providing clear priorities, coaching, performance management, and appropriate coverage.
  • Develop and maintain reliable systems for preventive maintenance, work orders, recurring operational needs, and emergency response.
  • Coordinate repairs, inspections, contractors, service agreements, equipment needs, and other facility-related projects.
  • Manage the movement of donations, furniture, supplies, equipment, and merchandise between CCSS locations and to clients as appropriate.
  • Oversee agency vehicle operations, including maintenance, scheduling, documentation, driver requirements, and operational readiness.
  • Build and maintain relationships with businesses, community organizations, agencies, and donors to expand in-kind goods and services available to CCSS and the individuals and families we serve.
  • Provide responsive communication and follow-up to in-kind donors and community partners.
  • Work collaboratively with program and retail leadership to determine the best use of donated resources across client services, agency operations, and Neat Repeats.
  • Monitor operational spending, coordinate vendor quotes and invoices, and maintain accurate records related to facilities, vehicles, inventory, vendors, and services.
  • Identify operational challenges and opportunities for greater efficiency and bring forward solutions that improve agency-wide operations.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who can see the big picture while still paying attention to the details. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, supervising staff, working across departments, developing external relationships, and stepping in to solve operational issues when they arise.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant operations experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in operations, facilities, logistics, administration, or a related area.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to manage staff, priorities, vendors, and cross-functional projects.
  • Experience coordinating facilities, maintenance services, vendors, logistics, or multi-site operations strongly preferred.
  • Strong project management, organizational, communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and urgent operational needs while ensuring projects are followed through to completion.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel between CCSS locations as needed.
  • Ability to complete 40-Hour Domestic Violence Training within 90 days of hire.

What Success Looks Like

In this role, success means CCSS facilities remain safe, clean, operational, and inspection-ready; maintenance and operational requests are addressed consistently and on time; logistics and vehicle operations run efficiently; and staff have clear priorities and accountability. You'll also help strengthen relationships with community partners and donors so valuable in-kind resources can be put to their best use in supporting our clients, programs, and agency operations.

Why Join CCSS?

At CCSS, strong operations directly support our ability to serve individuals and families impacted by domestic violence. This position offers the opportunity to make an agency-wide impact by building systems, developing staff, strengthening community partnerships, and ensuring our teams have the facilities and resources they need to carry out our mission.

If you are a collaborative leader who takes ownership, enjoys solving problems, and knows how to turn competing operational needs into organized action, we encourage you to apply.
