    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Assist Director in managing the Admiral Community Resource Center.
    • Manage the scheduling for all activities for the facility.
    • Assist in the event management for all activities for the facility.
    • Serve as the first line of support for all CREOKS staff utilizing the Admiral Community Resource Center.
    • Successfully complete the ODMHSAS Peer Recovery Support Provider Training and Test to be credentialed.
    • Act as supporting liaison between CREOKS, BeHeard, Mesa Church and any additional lease arrangements. Work with each leasing organization to meet and supply ongoing needs.
    • Act as building coordinator for all activities and events.
    • Assist Director and Director of Community Engagement in the outreach to underserved populations in behavioral/medical hospitals, substance recovery programs, primary care practices, school systems, social service agencies, homeless services, surrounding communities, etc. to identify persons in need of behavioral health services, medical and other services being offered and facilitate their referral and enrollment for services in CREOKS.
    • Assist Director in establishing collaborative relationships with the above institutions to develop referral networks as well as to advance the behavioral health equity of underserved populations.
    • Assist Director in providing peer support as well as screening, referral, and education to the surrounding communities.
    • Assist Director in creating and presenting to community providers and the public about CREOKS Health Services, suicide prevention, behavioral and medical health needs of underserved populations, and behavioral health equity.
    • Assist Director in participating in community meetings and conferences to represent and market CREOKS Health Services, and the Admiral Community Resource Center on behavioral health and medical needs, and behavioral health equity of underserved populations to other providers and the public.
    • Assist Director collect outcome data and ensure that data is reported according to the required entities.
    • Facilitate and teach the philosophy to staff and program participants that recovery is possible for everyone.
    • When required, support program participants in creating and executing Recovery Action Plans and Wellness Action Plans.
    • Provide education on health-related issues consistent with training and experience level.
    • Educate and assist consumers with their rights, responsibilities and appeals.
    • Attend weekly/monthly staff meetings as assigned by the Director.
    • If needed, maintain the clinical records system in accordance with ODMHSAS, OHCA, CARF and CREOKS policies.
    • Read and be knowledgeable of all current CREOKS policies and procedures.
    • If deemed necessary, maintain productivity averages, if later required, of direct service to clientele as set by CREOKS for full-time employment and turn in billing and associated documentation as mandated by CREOKS policy.
    • Responsible for necessary interaction with agency program participant families and/or other agencies involved with participants to ensure appropriate therapeutic care.
    • Responsible for participating in mandatory training such as nonviolent crisis de-escalation and CPR, etc.
    • Provide wellness and other services and supports to all program participants within the community, consistent with the Family Peer Recovery Support Specialist’s education, experience, training.
    • Assist in building social skills in the community that will enhance quality of life. Support the development of natural support systems.
    • Work towards the Case Management ll certification.
    • All other duties as assigned.


    Qualifications/Competencies Required:

    • Must be in recovery for at least one (1) year from mental illness and/or co-occurring disorders.
    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Prior paid or volunteer work with agencies addressing the needs of underserved populations preferred.
    • Ability to conduct outreach to different providers and promote CREOKS services.
    • Ability to provide presentations to the other providers and the community about CREOKS services.
    • Ability to share story of recovery to individuals and groups.
    • Knowledgeable of mental illnesses and co-occurring disorders.
    • Successfully complete the ODMHSAS Peer Recovery Support Provider Training and Test to be credentialed.
    • Successfully complete trainings such as, but not limited to, MI, Columbia, Mental Health First Aid Training, and suicide prevention training.
    • Maintain annual training to remain culturally responsive to underserved populations.
