Operations Finance Manager

A leading global manufacturing organization is seeking an Operations Finance Manager to join its finance leadership team. This role is designed for a high-potential finance professional interested in developing into a future senior finance leader. The position offers broad exposure across financial planning and analysis, operational finance, cost accounting, profitability analysis, financial reporting, and strategic decision support within a complex multi-site manufacturing environment.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:



  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.

  • Support accounting functions including inventory, product costing, fixed assets, depreciation, freight, maintenance, and operating expenses.

  • Analyze financial results and identify trends impacting business performance.

  • Assist with margin and profitability reporting across multiple locations.

  • Support ERP system enhancements and financial reporting improvements.

  • Contribute to capital expenditure evaluations and investment analysis.

  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.

  • Develop financial models and business cases to support strategic initiatives.

  • Analyze profitability by product line, business segment, and operational area.

  • Create and maintain executive dashboards, KPIs, and management reporting tools.

  • Provide actionable insights to support operational and commercial decision-making.

  • Partner closely with manufacturing, operations, and commercial leadership teams.

  • Participate in leadership meetings to understand key business drivers and financial performance.

  • Evaluate cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiency initiatives.

  • Deliver data-driven recommendations that improve profitability and support growth objectives.

  • Assist with cross-functional projects focused on process improvement and business performance.

  • Support financial analysis for capital investments and expansion projects.

  • Evaluate cash flow implications and working capital impacts of business decisions.

  • Assist in developing financial strategies that align with organizational goals.

  • Support year-end audit activities and financial compliance requirements.

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.

  • Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting, data integrity, and system utilization.

  • Assist with special projects and additional finance initiatives as needed.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

  • CPA, CMA, or similar professional designation preferred.

  • 6+ years of experience in FP&A, Controlling, Operational Finance, Cost Accounting, Public Accounting, or a related finance function.

  • Manufacturing, industrial, or capital-intensive industry experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience working within ERP systems; SAP experience is a plus.

  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Solid understanding of cost accounting, profitability analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
