Operations Laborer

Phillips Staffing is seeking an Operations Laborer for a reputable landscape supplier in Piedmont, SC! This position provides plant care, nursery maintenance, loading outbound trucks, and unloading inbound products. The ideal candidate will display excellent customer service skills when greeting and conducting business with internal and external customers. 
Responsibilities:

• Receive, unload, count, position, and maintain all plants and associated materials in the sales yard.
• Serve customers in the yard. Build relationships with foreman and crews associated to our customer base.
• Use and operate radio communication professionally with all other employees.
• Select and stage orders for customers as directed by branch management and sales staff while demonstrating the ability to be a team player.
• Space, jam, prune, weed, fertilize, water, or take other plant care measures to keep plants healthy.
• Load sales orders onto trucks for delivery/pick-up; maintain accurate paperwork and accurately audit material during the loading/unloading process.
• Own and maintain safe work practices and behaviors.
• Operate skid steer and other MHE under OSHA certification as required. 

Requirements: 

• High School diploma or secondary diploma or equivalent desired
• Ability and desire to do the job once and right, exhibit pride in work.
• Ability to become certified to operate MHE (Material Handling Equipment)
• Ability and desire to learn plant names and location in the yard.
• Friendly, outgoing, cheerful, professional 

Shift Schedule: 7:00 am – 4:30 pmPay Rate: $17.00/Hour
