Deploying autonomous robots into hospitals is operationally complex — every site is different, every stakeholder has different needs, and uptime is non-negotiable. As our operations lead, you'll be the person who makes the fleet run. You'll lead a small field team, own the end-to-end deployment and uptime of STAT, TOTE, LIFT, and LIFT+ across our hospital sites, and build the operational infrastructure that lets us scale from a handful of deployments to many. This is a foundational role — the processes you build will define how we operate for years.
What you'll do
- Lead and develop a small field operations team — setting priorities, running the cadence, and growing people
- Manage field deployments end-to-end — site readiness, installation, commissioning, and handoff at each new hospital
- Own fleet uptime across all live sites — monitor performance, triage issues, and drive fast resolution
- Build the ops playbook from scratch — deployment runbooks, escalation paths, maintenance schedules, and training materials
- Act as the primary operational point of contact for hospital stakeholders — facilities, nursing, logistics, and IT teams
- Feed field learnings back to engineering and product
What we're looking for
- 3–5 years in field operations, deployment, or technical operations — ideally involving physical hardware or equipment
- Proven experience leading a small team — you know how to set direction, hold people accountable, and help them grow
- A builder mindset — you've created processes and documentation where none existed before
- Strong stakeholder management — comfortable navigating complex institutional environments
- Comfortable with ambiguity — able to make good decisions quickly when the playbook doesn't exist yet
- Willingness to travel to hospital sites for deployments and ongoing support
Nice to have
- Experience working in or alongside hospital operations
- Familiarity with medical device or regulated equipment deployment
- Technical background — comfortable with hardware troubleshooting
- Experience with robotics, autonomous systems, or fleet management
- Background in logistics, facilities, or supply chain operations
