Operations Lead

Position Summary:

A high-impact Operations Leader is needed to scale and standardize a multi-site manufacturing and distribution network. This role will drive operational excellence, improve consistency and velocity, and ensure customer-focused execution across plastics/rubber manufacturing and related operations.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of leading complex operations, implementing Lean/Kaizen methodologies, integrating acquisitions, and building high-performance, accountable teams across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, and logistics to ensure safe, efficient, on-time production
• Develop and execute operational strategy aligned with growth and acquisition goals
• Lead integration of acquired facilities, standardizing systems and processes
• Drive Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Optimize cost, throughput, labor utilization, and production flow
• Establish KPI-driven performance management across operations
• Build and lead high-performing teams and scalable processes
• Partner with cross-functional leadership across supply chain, engineering, and sales
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• Identify automation and process improvement opportunities

Qualifications

• Strong experience leading multi-site manufacturing operations
• Background in plastics, rubber molding, or similar manufacturing environments
• Proven success in production planning, warehousing, and distribution
• Experience with MRP systems (e.g., JobBOSS or similar)
• Six Sigma Black Belt required
• Strong Lean/Kaizen and continuous improvement expertise
• Experience integrating acquisitions preferred
• Strong leadership, analytical, and change management skills
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field
• Willingness to travel ~25%
• On-site role in Kansas City
