Operations Specialist Cincinnati, OH - Full TimeJoin Gateway Logistics, Inc., an expanding Logistics Firm, 5X Cincinnati Best Places to Work Nominee, where your success is driven by measurable goals, and a leadership team with 125+ years of industry expertise.We are looking for an experienced Operations Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end management of the Carrier Process including negotiation, track & trace, and relationship development with carriers; in addition to communicating with internal stakeholders (Customer Sales Representative, Management) and when necessary external stakeholders (Customers). The purpose of the Operations Specialist is to procure the highest quality carrier at the best possible rate while also facilitating excellent customer service by obtaining status updates from carriers and providing communication to stakeholders per company procedure.What We Offer

Professional Requirements:
GED required; college degree preferred or equivalent experience
2-5 years' experience in 3PL or Freight Brokerage
In-office work hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm.
Flexibility to work outside of in-office work hours including evenings, weekends and holidays is required as needed to ensure loads are on schedule and issues resolved.
What You’ll Do
Book loads/cover freight with carriers (including carrier vetting and negotiation) for the assigned customers sales team by various methods including inbound and outbound phone calls, posting loads to freight boards, etc.
Builds carrier book-of-business to establish deep capacity of coverage for regular lanes.
Manage loads from dispatch to delivery and provide needed updates to customer sales team per company procedure.
Minimal falloffs of Carriers and consistently secures back-up carriers.
Resolve issues with carriers/loads as they arise and communicate them to the customer sales team and outside stakeholders if necessary.
Consistently prioritizes and plans customer sales team’s freight coverage needs with minimal oversight in both short-term (same day, week of) and long term (next week, next month) scenarios to provide maximum time to source best carrier possible.
