General Responsibility
The Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manager will oversee the delivery of all services defined in the contract for the operation and maintenance of critical airport infrastructure at Burbank International Airport. This includes Passenger Boarding Ramps (PBR), Baggage Handling Systems (BHS), Checked Baggage Inspection Systems (CBIS), control room operations, encoding, and baggage jam resolution.
The O&M Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle of service delivery, planning, execution, compliance, performance management, and client communication, ensuring all activities are aligned with contract requirements, safety standards, and PBP Services operational excellence framework.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead all site-based Operations & Maintenance activities in accordance with contractual obligations and performance targets.
· Interpret organizational strategy into clear operational plans, communicating objectives to the team and driving accountability.
· Supervise, motivate, and develop a multidisciplinary team to achieve high standards in service delivery, safety, and efficiency.
· Ensure accurate and timely reporting, internally to PBP leadership and externally to the Airport Authority.
· Oversee CMMS documentation and integrity, including preventative maintenance (PM), corrective actions, inventory, and labor hour tracking.
· Implement and maintain site-specific policies and procedures related to safety, quality assurance, training, contingency planning, and attendance.
· Collaborate with the airport to manage spare parts allowances, inventory levels, and support budget development and forecasting.
· Champion a culture of continuous improvement across maintenance and operational processes.
· Maintain effective client relationships and act as the primary point of contact for BUR stakeholders.
· Ensure compliance with all airports, local, state, and federal regulations relating to O&M operations.
Qualifications and Experience
· Minimum 10 years of Operations and Maintenance leadership experience in an airport, baggage handling, or material handling environment.
· Demonstrated experience in managing service contracts and interpreting/executing contractual deliverables.
· Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic, safety-critical environment.
· Advanced proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Project).
· Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean principles, or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
· Strong understanding of spare parts logistics, labor management, and operational budgeting.
· Experience with HRIS systems such as Paylocity is an advantage.
· Ability to travel regularly across North America.
· Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to meet company insurability requirements.
