Operations & Maintenance Technician

Location: Miami, FL
Duration: 12 Months
Work Mode: Onsite

Responsibilities:

• Service, repair, maintain, monitor, and adjust HVAC systems to stay within allowable parameters.
• Perform preventive maintenance repairs for HVAC systems, heat exchangers, chiller pumps, electrical systems, fire alarm systems, plumbing systems, and building automation systems.
• Provide direction and training to less experienced maintenance technicians.
• Plan, select, and lay out required materials for service, repair, and preventive maintenance work.
• Work from building drawings, schematics, equipment specifications, job layouts, and verbal instructions.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools, equipment, and lift equipment for operations.
• Generate requisitions for new supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Participate in an on-call rotation schedule to attend to emergency situations at the facility.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

• Two-year technical degree or completion of an apprenticeship program.
• In-depth knowledge of various maintenance fundamentals sufficient to deal with service and repairs.
• Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Experience working on mission-critical projects.
• Knowledge of OSHA codes and regulations.
• Working knowledge of company systems.
• Use of a variety of hand and power tools or man lift.
• Universal EPA Refrigeration Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.
• Must be able to pass a thorough background check and subject interview.

• Spanish language skills preferred.
• Physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, including climbing ladders, working in restricted spaces, and lifting heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays, and special maintenance events as needed.
