Job Description: The incumbent provides Operations Management support to the Program Executive Officer for Aircraft Carriers (PEO CVN). PEO CVN provides full lifecycle acquisition support to the nations fleet of aircraft carriers. The command is located at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC.In this role, the selectee will: Manage and coordinate the PEOs operation strategies and activitiesAssist with the review, development, and implementation of PEO policies, practices, procedures, and attainment of operating goals. Review, analyze, and prepare reports, records, and directives and confer with managers/supervisors to obtain data required for planning activities.Organize resources to ensure effective production of goods and/or services, give work direction, resolve problems, prepare schedules, and set deadlines to ensure timely completion of work. Ensure adequate training of staff and employee compliance to organizations policies and practices, and coordinate activities of the department with related activities of other departments to ensure efficiency and economy. Monitor and analyze costs and prepare department budgets.Manage appointment calendars, answer telephones, provide reception functionsManage and process correspondenceProcess and track travel orders and vouchersProcess security functions such as visit requests and property passesManage an inventory of office suppliesManage and maintain office equipmentRequired Skills and Experiences:Minimum:10+ years experience in operations management for a US Navy command or similar organizationPreferred:Experience supporting a DoD / Navy ACAT-I programDegree Requirements:Bachelors degree in any fieldOther Requirements:Must be a US CitizenMust possess an active and fully adjudicated SECRET clearance
