Job Summary

SummaryResponsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of environmental services operations within the organization. Develops and implements strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, promote sustainability, and maintain a clean and safe environment.Does this position require Patient Care?NoEssential FunctionsDevelop and implement an environmental services strategy aligned with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practicesOversee all aspects of environmental services operations, including cleaning, waste management, recycling, sustainability initiatives, and general maintenanceManage and provide leadership to environmental services supervisors and staff, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and professional developmentEnsure compliance with environmental regulations, health and safety standards, and company policiesDevelop and implement standard operating procedures, guidelines, and training programs to ensure consistent and efficient operations across multiple locations or facilitiesCollaborate with procurement and finance to manage vendor contracts, negotiate pricing, and ensure cost-effective procurement of supplies and servicesDevelop and implement sustainability initiatives such as energy conservation, waste reduction, and green cleaning practices

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, waste management practices, cleaning techniques, and safety protocols.- Knowledge of sustainability practices and experience with implementing environmental initiatives.- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address issues and implement effective solutions.- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, climb stairs, and perform manual tasks as required.
