Position overview:- The Manager of Operations leads, directs, and oversees day-to-day manufacturing, assembly, and on-site distribution operations to exceed customer expectations and support the company s continued growth. In this role, the Manager of Operations is responsible for ensuring and improving performance, productivity, efficiency, quality, and profitability of the Brooksville operation through effective tactical and strategic execution.
- The ideal candidate will have an engineering background, strong manufacturing experience, operational and leadership skills. He or she will be a hands-on, detail-oriented individual and have a proven track record of cost reduction.
Responsibilities:- Manage daily, weekly and monthly KPI s to continuously improve operation s performance.
- Champion lean manufacturing initiatives with a passion for continuous improvement and elimination of waste.
- Regular meetings with company s leadership team to oversee monthly and quarterly financial performance against budget, and operational targets.
- Develop long range capacity plans in support of the company s growth objectives including Capital Equipment projects.
- Maintain rolling 4-week production schedule to meet or exceed customer on-time delivery expectations.
- Prepare and manage annual operational budgets.
- Ensure quality of products and site adherence to all cGMP and FDA regulatory requirements.
- Manage quality and quantity of employee productivity including staff development and training. Hold staff accountable for the execution of plans and results.
- Support sales and marketing activities as well as customer service needs.
- Ensure all worker safety and equipment regulations are implemented and followed.
- Ensure operation of equipment by establishing preventive maintenance programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:- B.A. or B.S Degree required with relevant (Engineering, Operations) field of study preferred with a preference to a graduate level degree.
- At least 8-10 years plus in leadership roles in a GMP manufacturing industry preferably in multi-shift environments.
- Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management for implementing best practices. Strong technical and demonstrated equipment management background.
- Proven talent management, supervisory skills, and leadership capabilities.
- Business acumen, strong planning and organizing abilities, keen attention to detail. Problem Solver.
- TEAM Player, highly motivated and fully independent. Ability to influence and lead peers.
- cGMP and FDA regulatory knowledge for First Aid products.
- Large ERP systems; direct MRP knowledge; strong computer skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
