OPERATIONS MANAGER - CNC machining

GNR has been retained by a reputable small CNC machining & manufacturing organization south of Los Angeles in need of an OPERATIONS MANAGER.   

We are seeking an individual who brings an in-depth machining experience with highly complex, tight-tolerance precision machined parts.   This organization has advanced machining capabilities and invested in lights-out capabilities!

This is a “highly visible” & “hands-on” role reporting to the VP/GM, while managing a small team, you’ll be responsible for day-to-day operational activities for 2 shifts.

We need an experienced leader who can make an impact and promote change within the site.   You’ll collaborate with all departments and incorporate measurable KPIs to optimize operational efficiencies; on-time starts/deliveries, personnel, set-ups/rotations, inventory, WIP/scraps/reworks …etc).  

• Manage all daily operations needs for CNC machining: Production, Manufacturing, Planning, Safety…
• Update process & procedures, production scheduling & tracking KPI’s.
• Manage, engage, mentor teams and inspire improvements while adhering to on-time deliveries.
• ISO9001 / AS9100, QMS, Continuous Improvements, Six Sigma  

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

• 5+ years of Hands-on leadership experience within a CNC machining environment
• In-depth understanding of CNC, CAD/CAM software, tooling, equipment, materials requirements
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence change & make an impact on the business
• US Citizenship / US Permanent Resident
