The Judge Group is seeking an Operations Manager (CNC) for a manufacturing company in the Sturbridge, MA area.
Title: Operations Manager (CNC)
Salary: $115,000 - $135,000
Location: Sturbridge
Responsibilities
- Lead plant operations to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost targets
- Manage 3 Supervisors and ~75 machinists/finishers; develop high‑performing teams
- Execute operating plans, capacity plans, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Drive Lean manufacturing, visual management, flow systems, and cost reduction
- Maintain Quality System compliance and support FDA/ISO requirements
- Foster a strong EHS and zero‑defect, perfect fill‑rate culture
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Sales, and Director of Operations
- Support quoting, customer service, and on‑time delivery commitments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years manufacturing leadership experience in regulated environments
- Experience in high‑mix, low‑volume production and capacity planning
- Strong knowledge of machining, fabrication, and assembly processes
- Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt experience preferred
- Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle/SAP), Kinaxis, and Excel/PowerPoint
- Solid understanding of EHS, GMP, ISO 13485, and quality systems
- Proven P&L, operating plan execution, and strategic planning skills
