Job Description

Reporting to the regional leadership team, the Operations Manager will play a critical role in driving project success by leading front-end planning and supporting operational readiness across multiple commercial construction projects.

  • Lead project start-up planning including master scheduling, logistics strategies, procurement planning, and site mobilisation.
  • Conduct detailed constructability reviews to identify design challenges, sequencing concerns, and project risks.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation to ensure scope clarity and readiness for execution.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules aligning design, procurement, labour, and client requirements.
  • Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and design teams to support seamless project delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate operational, commercial, and construction risks before work begins on site.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives and strengthen project planning processes across the business.

The Successful Applicant

For the Operations Manager position, we are seeking:

  • 5+ years of leadership experience within commercial construction as a Senior Project Manager, Senior Superintendent, Construction Manager, or similar.
  • Strong expertise in preconstruction planning, constructability reviews, scheduling, logistics, and procurement strategy.
  • Proven ability to develop project execution plans and manage complex commercial construction programmes.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, field operations, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and site conditions to proactively identify challenges.
  • Ability to build credibility with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and field teams.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Proficiency with construction scheduling and project management platforms.
