Operations Manager – Materials Processing & Logistics

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily operations at a high-volume industrial processing facility. This individual will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, maintaining safety standards, managing personnel, and ensuring smooth material flow throughout the site.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day yard and facility operations, including receiving, processing, storage, and outbound shipments
  • Lead, train, and manage site employees, supervisors, and equipment operators
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational procedures
  • Monitor production, throughput, and inventory to maximize efficiency
  • Coordinate inbound/outbound logistics, including truck scheduling and material movement
  • Oversee equipment utilization, maintenance scheduling, and downtime reduction
  • Manage payroll, purchasing, receiving, and operational reporting
  • Maintain strong communication with internal leadership, customers, and vendors
  • Identify process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of operations leadership experience in industrial, manufacturing, logistics, warehouse, construction, metals, or similar environments
  • Strong experience managing teams in fast-paced, hands-on environments
  • Background in safety, production planning, and process improvement
  • Experience with inventory control, reporting, and KPI tracking
  • Comfortable working both operationally and administratively
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred:

  • Experience overseeing heavy equipment or industrial machinery
  • Exposure to high-volume material handling or bulk product movement
  • Experience with maintenance coordination and preventative maintenance programs
