Overview
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, and production targets are met
- Manage and coordinate production schedules to optimize throughput and efficiency
- Ensure all products meet customer specifications and quality standards
- Monitor performance metrics and utilize data-driven insights to improve processes
- Lead, coach, and develop frontline supervisors and production teams to foster a high-performance culture
- Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor, setting clear expectations and holding teams accountable
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, and Lean methodologies to increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Partner with engineering to support equipment performance, upgrades, and modernization efforts
- Support the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Sales, and HR to ensure cross-departmental alignment with customer commitments and operational goals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5–10+ years of manufacturing or operations leadership experience in a production environment
- Proven experience leading teams and managing production schedules
- Strong knowledge of performance metrics, production planning, and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to work onsite with consistent shop floor presence
