Summary:

Weber Blackstone's Operations team is looking to hire a multi facility Operations Manager. As the Operations Manager you will be directing the Elgin Fulfillment Center as well as the Canada Distribution Center operational activities, interfacing with all staff members on a daily/weekly basis for optimal utilization of facility resources. The Operations Manager is responsible for daily cargo flow into; through, and out of the facility. Recommends new projects, monitors all on-going projects and works with senior leadership to develop innovative and cost-effective programs. Establish and report KPI's monthly to the Director of Operations. Monitors warehouse damage. Develops, updates, and implements standard operating procedures. Manages budgets to include Labor, Supplies, and Transportation

This is an onsite role at our fulfillment center in Elgin, IL with travel required to the Canada Distribution Center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following, other duties may be assigned

  • Directs all activities within the Elgin Fulfillment Center and Canada Distribution Center
  • Provides operations guidance and instruction to off-site warehouse facilities
  • Manages, supervises, and develops warehouse staff
  • Responsible for the performance appraisals for direct reporting EFC and CDC staff
  • Reviews all performance for team members
  • Interfaces with All facilities daily to achieve peak operational efficiencies within the EFC/CDC (warehouse)
  • Develops and implements standard operating procedures for continual improvement of all warehouse processes
  • Reviews inbound cargo receipts and outbound shipments for accuracy and adherence to customer specific handling/labeling requirements
  • Works with the Director of Operations and Supervisory staff to investigate and resolve transfer discrepancies from all facilities
  • Establishes benchmarks for internal damage to products and reviews best practices in material handling to reduce internal damage rate
  • Monitors workloads and reallocates resources as needed to aid in efficiency and accuracy of departmental operations
  • Reviews warehouse layout for improved put-a-way and density
  • Reviews cargo transfer patterns for improved fleet efficiencies
  • Tracks time and attendance for employees to assure accurate pay
  • Manages ADP Time & Attendance system to approve employee hours for payroll processing.
  • Manages Labor budgets and accurate headcount throughout the year to ensure operational efficiency
  • Approves and codes invoices for both the EFC and CDC
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelors degree in Business/Management/Operations, preferred
  • Basic knowledge Microsoft suite, SAP a plus.

  • Manages subordinate supervisors in the building - EFC/CDC. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

Salary Range: $98,000- 110,400 this role is also eligible for participation in Weber Blackstones bonus program

  • This salary range represents Weber Blackstones good faith belief of what we reasonably expect to pay the top candidate
