  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of technical, performance, production and venue requirements of theater, dance, and music.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Supervisory experience in theatrical production and ability to manage crews
  • Experience with theatrical lighting and audio

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate professional experience in technical/production management and theatrical technology
  • Maintenance and repair of lighting fixtures including conventional, automated lighting, and LED lighting equipment.
  • Experience as a Head Electrician, Lighting Supervisor or similar position.
  • Working knowledge of Theatrical Audio Systems - (QLab)
  • Working knowledge of Projection Systems
  • Working knowledge of Vectorworks and/or AutoCAD.
  • Experience with (or ability to learn) Live Streaming Systems

Job Description

Responsible for managing the internal operations of Evans Auditorium and supervising events.

Job Duties

  • Responsible for managing the internal operations of Evans Auditorium and the Music Recital Hall and supervising events.
  • Scheduling of events including calendar management.
  • Coordinate with event sponsors regarding technical requirements, production meetings, and scheduling.
  • Supervise events including stage supervision, production staffing, and technical support.
  • Maintain and repair facility and equipment.
  • Provide lighting design for events including shows for the Music Department, Dance, and Opera.
  • Provide audio engineering.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, train, schedule, and supervise student workers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This position involves working some nights and weekends to accommodate scheduled events.
