A well-established commercial facility services company is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the execution of facility maintenance, repair, construction, and service operations across a diverse commercial client base. This role is responsible for managing field operations, supporting customers, driving team accountability, ensuring service quality, and maintaining strong communication between clients, technicians, dispatch, and leadership. The ideal candidate combines facility maintenance industry knowledge with strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. This is a highly visible leadership role that plays a direct impact on customer satisfaction, team performance, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and support facility maintenance operations for commercial customers across multiple service lines
* Manage technicians, dispatching activities, work orders, and service execution
* Ensure customer requests, service issues, and escalations are resolved promptly and professionally
* Monitor operational reports, KPIs, and team performance to identify improvement opportunities
* Coach, develop, and hold employees accountable to performance expectations
* Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules and emergency service requests
* Work closely with customers to ensure service quality and satisfaction
* Partner with accounting, sales, and leadership teams to support account performance and profitability
* Maintain strong relationships with key customer contacts and stakeholders
* Support continuous improvement initiatives, process development, and operational best practices
Qualifications:
* 4-7+ years of facility maintenance, facility services, building services or related industry experience
* Previous leadership, supervisory, management, or progressive team lead experience
* Experience managing work orders, dispatching, technicians, or service operations
* Ability to read reports, analyze performance metrics, and implement corrective actions
* Strong customer service and relationship management skills
* Experience handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced service environment
* Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel
* Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
