Operations Manager

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Operations Manager is primarily responsible for ensuring that orders are filled at the distribution center for delivery company-wide. The Operations Supervisor also ensures that merchandise sold by our sales team or at the branch retail store locations is shipped completely and accurately in a timely manner. A Little About Your Day: You will:

• Prioritize job duties for the entire crew while working closely with departments to fill orders company-wide effectively and productively.
• Manage the operations team providing coaching, guidance, and mentorship, resolving any issues that may arise.
• Work with department managers company-wide, including branch management associates, Sales, Purchasing, service and rental, and Operations Management, to ensure warehouse operations are operating in an effective and efficient manner to meet customer needs.
• Ensure workplace safety is a top priority and guidelines are adhered to.
• Manage truck safety including safe loading, and coordinate with Fleet Manager on truck maintenance and repair.
• Participate in decisions regarding delivery times, route schedules, and other logistics for delivering the product.
• Assist in fulfilling special orders that require additional attention and perform stock counts to ensure stock levels are accurate.
• Work with Inventory Control and the Maintenance Department to work on the creation of additional storage space in both the main distribution center and the branch locations.
• Recheck all orders for Hardware Spot to determine if they were picked correctly and shipped in the costliest and most effective way.
• Prepare and process UPS and freight bills for outbound shipment, ensuring they are paid and charged to the customer if applicable.

What You'll Need for success:

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• College degree in related discipline preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years' management/supervisory/lead experience in a Distribution environment responsible for warehouse/driver management.
• Valid Driver's License.
