We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to help build and improve the firm’s operational infrastructure. This is a project-based position focused on creating clear, efficient, and scalable processes that the current team can consistently follow.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, process-oriented, and experienced in developing SOPs, training systems, workflows, and operational documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Review and assess current operational processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Develop and document clear, practical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Build efficient workflows and processes for the firm’s day-to-day operations.
Create training materials, guides, and other resources for existing staff.
Develop a structured training program based on the newly established processes.
Train current staff and ensure they understand and can effectively implement the new procedures.
Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas where processes can be standardized.
Establish systems that promote consistency, accountability, and operational efficiency.
Make recommendations to improve overall team performance and workflow.
Conduct follow-up check-ins after project completion to assess implementation and address any necessary adjustments.
Requirements
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Operations Manager, Business Operations Manager, Process Improvement Manager, or similar role.
Previous experience working in a law firm or legal services environment is a strong advantage.
Strong experience developing and implementing SOPs and operational processes.
Experience creating training materials and training employees.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to analyze existing workflows and develop practical solutions.
Comfortable working independently and managing a project from assessment through implementation.
Engagement Structure
This is a project-based engagement. The selected Operations Manager will be responsible for completing the initial process-development and training project.
Once the project is completed, the engagement will transition to monthly check-ins to review implementation, address process gaps, and make recommendations as needed.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who can build the system, document it clearly, and teach the team how to use it—not simply manage existing operations.
If you are experienced in turning complex or inconsistent workflows into clear, repeatable processes, we’d love to hear from you.
