Description
Manages all activities related to the branch operations and the processing of company products by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Summary of Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
Develops and maintains the operations business plans to include all programs requirements, labor hours, cycle, and processing costs.
Establishes processing and quality control standards, with the assistance of the Director of Quality, develops budget and cost controls, and obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
Provides guidance to the development of a process plan, including personnel requirements, material need, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and equipment needs.
Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
Coordinates the operations activities with all other functions of the organization to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
Review's production and operating reports and directs resolution of operational, processing and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
Establish and implement, in conjunction with the Director of Safety, a program to minimize the frequency and severity of industrial accidents and injuries.
Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (BA) from 4-year college or university
5-7 years related management experience and/or training
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Other Skills and Abilities
Lean / Six Sigma experience
Experience in the metals processing / distribution industry
Leadership, motivation, and interpersonal communication skills
