    Summary

    Job Description:

    Baptist Health Medical Group is looking for an Episodic Care Operations Manager to join our Occupational Medicine team. This is a remote position that covers statewide services and will require some regional travel.

    The Operations Manager is responsible for the execution of practice operations at assigned Baptist Health Medical Group locations throughout the community. This position is also responsible for effective communications with physicians, patients, and practice staff.

    Additionally, the Operations Manager is responsible for effective management of service-line financial performance and always maintains emphasis on Service Excellence. Collaborating jointly with the Director of Operations, the Operations Manager has shared responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the outpatient clinic locations as assigned.

    Essential Duties:

    • Executes and oversees all aspects of assigned medical practices/operations, including development and implementation of policies and procedures.

    • Plans, implements, and evaluates program effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of service.

    • Assumes all administrative and supervisory duties in the absence of the Director.

    • Works directly with Epic Support to maintain efficient EMR, optimize when appropriate, and communicates ALL changes to managers and staff.

    • Maintains a working relationship with designated Baptist Hospital specialist groups.

    • Knowledgeable of third-party payer contracts and effect on practice operations and financial performance.

    • Works with leadership and BHMG Finance to create annual budget and manages practice budgets within approved guidelines.

    • Proactively reviews and develops action plans to improve financial performance.

    • Assists Director of Operations in planning and implementation of future operations, including business plan development, executive summary, and market research.

    • Participates in monthly Practice Operations meetings with providers and practice managers.

    • Acts as a liaison with Baptist Health's Human Resources department. Makes recommendations regarding staffing levels, educational and experience capabilities of staff, and supervises staff.

    • Manages and supports system utilization and referral management strategic initiatives and objective reporting.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare or related field.

    • 3+ years in medical practice management, additional 5 years needed in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.

    • Experience with medical practice software

    • Basic understanding of financial systems (e.g. budgets, income statements, A/R, etc.)

    • Demonstrated customer service focus and outcomes.

    • Frequent travel among practice locations required.
