One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning is seeking a results-driven
Operations Manager to lead our Akron, Ohio team. This key leadership role is
responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving profitability, developing team
members, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience across all service,
maintenance, and installation activities.
The ideal candidate is a strong people leader with experience in HVAC service
operations, field team management, and performance coaching.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Manage daily HVAC service, maintenance, and installation operations.
- Ensure efficient scheduling, dispatching, and resource allocation.
- Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain operational processes that improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Team Management
- Recruit, develop, coach, and retain high-performing technicians and office staff.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and accountability meetings.
- Foster a positive, customer-focused culture centered on teamwork and accountability.
- Lead daily huddles and operational meetings.
Financial Performance
- Manage departmental budgets and profitability.
- Track and improve key performance indicators including:
- Revenue growth
- Average ticket
- Closing rates
- Membership sales
- Gross margin
- Customer satisfaction scores
- Technician productivity
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
Customer Experience
- Ensure exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally and promptly.
- Maintain high levels of quality and consistency across all services.
Safety and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and industry regulations.
- Promote a strong culture of safety throughout the organization.
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of Experience in HVAC/Trades/Home services.
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing field service teams.
- Strong financial and business acumen.
- Experience analyzing KPIs and performance metrics.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills.
- Proficiency with CRM and service management software.
Preferred
- HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or home-service industry experience.
- Experience managing service technicians and dispatch operations.
- Familiarity with ServiceTitan or similar field-service software.
