A growing New England-based contract manufacturer is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to help lead and strengthen plant operations during an exciting period of organizational growth and transformation.

Description
- Provide leadership and oversight across manufacturing support functions and operational departments.
- Partner with production leadership to ensure efficient and effective execution of customer orders.
- Lead and support quality initiatives to maintain high standards of product and process performance.
- Oversee shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely and accurate material flow.
- Foster strong communication and working relationships with shop floor employees.
- Address employee relations, performance concerns, and operational challenges in a proactive manner.
- Support continuous improvement efforts focused on productivity, efficiency, and workflow optimization.
- Collaborate with finance leadership regarding operational performance and P&L accountability.
- Help create a stable, accountable, and team-oriented culture as the organization continues to mature.

Profile
A successful Operations Manager should have:
- 5+ years of Operations Manager, Plant Manager, Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, or similar leadership experience.
- Experience leading teams of 25 to 100+ employees in a manufacturing setting.
- A background in metal fabrication, sheet metal, machining, welding, precision manufacturing, or contract manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated success improving shop floor performance, employee engagement, productivity, and operational efficiency.
- Experience overseeing multiple functions including production, quality, shipping/receiving, purchasing, and inventory management.
- Strong employee relations and personnel management experience, including coaching, conflict resolution, performance management, and team development.
- Experience working closely with engineering, quality, and customer-facing teams to ensure delivery, quality, and operational objectives are achieved.
- A highly visible and hands-on leadership style, with the ability to build credibility and trust with both hourly and salaried employees.
Job Offer
- Competitive base salary of $90,000-$115,000, with flexibility up to $120,000 for candidates bringing direct sheet metal fabrication experience.
