Description

As an Operations Manager at Ecopack USA Inc., you will play a key role in the successful launch of our new facility in Tonawanda. In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee all day-to-day plant operations, including production, maintenance, safety, and overall facility performance, while driving operational efficiency.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Lead and execute the company's operational strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term growth.
  • Partner with the executive team to establish operational goals, KPIs, and performance metrics.
  • Drive operational excellence through process improvement, automation, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee daily operations across multiple departments, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the parent company in Italy for new equipment design and machinery modifications.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop operations and maintenance teams through recruitment, training, performance management, and employee development.
  • Manage operational budgets, resource allocation, and cost-control initiatives while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, company policies, BRCGS standards, and health and safety requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks, lead business continuity and crisis management efforts, and maintain operational readiness.
  • Direct all maintenance operations, including preventive and corrective maintenance, annual plant shutdowns, spare parts inventory, contractor coordination, and maintenance planning.
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures, training programs, and safety initiatives to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, HR, and other departments to support organizational objectives and operational efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, external partners, and the executive leadership team, providing regular updates on operational performance and strategic initiatives.
You are someone who has:
  • 5+ years of operations management experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment
  • Experience in developing and executing strategic operational plans, budget management, and resource allocation
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
