Summary of the Role: The Operations Manager has responsibility for the sites production operations working closely with Engineering, Quality, Commercial Teams, and customers to deliver high quality parts to our customers. This role oversees department managers to ensure departmental goals are established and achieved, maximizing customer satisfaction while minimizing cost.

Tasks and Responsibilities: Operational Oversight: Overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure production and processes run efficiently. Team Leadership: Managing and leading the operations team to ensure they are motivated, productive, and aligned with company goals. Strategic Planning: Collaborating with the General Manager and other senior leaders to develop and implement operational strategies. Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocating resources to maximize productivity while controlling costs. Quality Assurance: Implementing and monitoring quality control processes to meet established quality standards. Process Improvement: Identifying areas for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement, and then leading initiatives to achieve these objectives. Budget Management: Developing and managing budgets for operations, ensuring financial targets are met and costs are controlled. Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating operational risks, whether related to safety, compliance, or other factors that could affect business continuity. Supplier and Vendor Management: Establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors. Performance Metrics: Defining and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success and efficiency of operations and to identify improvements. Customer Satisfaction: Focusing on exceeding customer expectations by delivering products or services on time, at the expected quality, and within budget. Continuous Improvement: Promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the organization. Communication: Providing regular updates to the General Manager on the status of operations and challenges. Emergency Response: Developing and implementing emergency response plans to minimize disruptions.

Education and Experience: Required: 4-year degree in Engineering, Operations Management or related field 7+ years Operations experience 5 years of supervisory experience Experience with Lean Sigma methodologies Experience managing in a unionized manufacturing facility.

Desired: MBA or master's degree in related field 10+ years of Operations Management experience Experience with clean room/medical device manufacturing

Ability to demonstrate adequate job knowledge to deliver a world class performance. Ability to challenge oneself to consistently meet all goals and deadlines. Demonstrated competence using Microsoft Office. Demonstrated ability to successfully present thoughts, ideas and information to large groups of people. Ability to maintain a professional and respectful relationship with coworkers and company in a leadership capacity. Ability to manage cross-functional teams, coordinate supplier/customer meetings.
