Evolver is seeking an Operations Manager to join a program to support a government client.

 

The Operations Manager is to lead the IT Infrastructure and incident management operations. The position will be responsible for overseeing network operations, application monitoring, hardware management, operating systems and incident management. This pivotal role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills and the ability to drive efficient incident management processes.

The Operations Manager ensures the function of the network, applications, hardware and operating system for a large user base. This position is responsible for overseeing the operation of the organization's network infrastructure and monitoring the performance of applications. Additionally, the Operations Manager is responsible for the writing and generating reports for organization executives about network and application performance, hardware status, and other relevant metrics. This position is also responsible for healing and resolving incidents that impact the network, applications and/or hardware. This involves identifying root causes and implementing solutions.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Technology related undergraduate degree or 10 years’ experience in Operations Management.
  • Five years working in 24x7x365 IT Operations environment, this is to include:
    • Knowledge of network operation, applications, hardware, monitoring, and operating systems, supporting approximately 45,000 users
  • Five years leading a team in the 24x7x365 IT Operations environment
  • Five years of experience working in an Operations environment as a Critical Incident Manager

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a federal government contract
  • Current ITIL Certification
  • Bachelor's degree preferred for computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience writing executive-level reports
  • Experience developing reports in ServiceNow
  • Demonstrated experience as an incident manager or similar role
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to identify, train, mentor, and lead technical staff
  • Knowledge of incident management systems and tools
