Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Operations Manager for our client's Hialeah, FL warehouse. This role is heavily focused on special events and trade show operations, and candidates must have prior experience in warehouse management and preferably event rental industry. As the Operations Manager, you will have full responsibility for all branch operations, reporting directly to the Regional VP. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on warehouse operations, logistics coordination, and managing teams that execute event deliveries and installations.

* Mandatory: Prior experience in special events and trade show rental operations
* Previous warehouse management experience
* Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
* Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
* Experience managing warehouse staff, drivers, and field teams
* Must be willing to submit to a comprehensive background check and 12-panel drug screening
* Resumes must be professional, up-to-date, and well formatted
* Lead and manage warehouse teams responsible for:
o Order picking, staging, and quality control of rental product
o Inspecting furniture prior to delivery to ensure event-ready condition
o Triage and processing of returned inventory
* Oversee event logistics and execution through field teams, including:
o Managing drivers and delivery crews assigned to event schedules
o Coordinating delivery, installation, and breakdown timelines
o Ensuring teams are properly staffed, prepared, and dispatched for each job
* Drive operational excellence by:
o Scheduling labor based on event volume and workload
o Managing overtime and temporary labor within budget
o Routing trucks and coordinating daily delivery schedules
o Overseeing transfers and ensuring timely preparation of inventory
o Monitoring warehouse expenses and operational KPIs
* Ensure compliance and safety:
o Implement and enforce DOT and company safety standards
o Maintain accountability across all warehouse and field operations
* Leadership & administration:
o Conduct performance reviews and manage team development
o Oversee employee scheduling, PTO, and time-off requests
o Participate in Sales & Operations planning calls




Job Requirements:
- previous warehouse management experience (preferably high volume event/trade show operations)
- willingness to work long hours during busy season (January - May/June)
- able to cross collaborate with Inbound/Outbound Managers
- thrive in a fast paced environment and can handle adversity
