The Operations Leadership Program Associate will participate in an 18 month Leadership Development Program LDP to develop for future operations leadership roles within Parker Hose Products Division. The program consists of several rotations in one facility including lean transformation supply chain and operations leadership. Special training in EHS lean six-sigma leading high performance teams labor law and coaching for high performance. The OLP will work cross-functionally to develop deep level understanding of business operations and to impact Parkers Win Strategy objectives of Profitable Growth Financial Performance Customer Service and Empowered Employees while continuously maintaining the highest degree of safety customer service delivery quality and cost.

Demonstrate ability to understand and improve processes and procedures to develop and display leadership skills and to build broad business acumen.

Learning and developing lean concepts by studying and planning operations for the effective utilization of personnel material machines and facilities.

Assist and/or lead Lean activities and Kaizen events by establishing course of action to accomplish task/project and working cross-functionally to achieve.

Assist in the design and improvement of manufacturing/production methods and control systems using new existing or modified machinery and equipment.

Introduce or recommend changes to work methods safety measures and labor utilization.

Maximize facility efficiency through establishment of Kanban and inventory systems.

Develop methods for controlling production costs and costs analysis.

Leadership training and development experiences throughout the program with the goal to develop skillsets in supervision team leadership and management.

Other duties as assigned

College Senior standing currently enrolled in a Business or Industrial Engineering program.

GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Working knowledge of lean concepts and demonstrated application.

Relevant experience gained through internship or co-op opportunities.

Excellent verbal and written communication project management experience preferred.

Demonstrated problem solving and leadership skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office tools Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint
