District-AV is a growing residential technology company serving clients in the DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia area. We design and install home technology systems including networking, Wi-Fi, TVs, audio, lighting control, shades, surveillance, and smart home control systems.


We are looking for a hands-on Operations & Project Coordinator to help keep projects organized, materials moving, and installations running smoothly.


This is not a desk-only admin role. The right person will be comfortable helping in the office, warehouse, and occasionally in the field.


Responsibilities

  • Help prepare materials and equipment for upcoming jobs
  • Pull products from inventory for installations
  • Pick up and deliver materials to job sites when needed
  • Help maintain inventory and track what is used on each project
  • Enter materials used after jobs and flag anything that needs to be ordered
  • Place equipment and material orders with vendors
  • Track backorders, delivery dates, and missing items
  • Help schedule installations, service calls, and follow-up visits
  • Follow up after projects to make sure nothing is outstanding
  • Assist the install team with basic on-site tasks when needed
  • Keep project folders, job notes, and checklists organized
  • Create simple quotes or updates using D-Tools or similar software
  • Communicate with team members, vendors, and clients in a clear and professional way

Ideal Candidate

  • Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working with both people and products/materials
  • Able to lift and move boxes/equipment when needed
  • Good with computers, spreadsheets, email, and basic software
  • Comfortable learning AV materials such as cable, mounts, networking gear, speakers, racks, and smart home equipment
  • Has experience with ordering, inventory, scheduling, construction, AV, low voltage, or service coordination
  • Can follow a process but also think ahead and notice what is missing
  • Has a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Nice to Have

  • Experience with D-Tools, QuoteWerks, QuickBooks, Monday.com, ServiceTitan, Jobber, Buildertrend, or similar software
  • Experience in AV, low voltage, electrical, construction, home services, or warehouse operations
  • Familiarity with brands like Control4, Lutron, Ubiquiti, Sonos, Samsung, Sony, Snap One, or ADI

Schedule

Full-time or part-time depending on the candidate. Local candidates only. This role requires in-person work in the DC/Maryland/Northern Virginia area.

Compensation

Compensation depends on experience. We are open to someone early in their career who wants to learn and grow, or someone with direct AV/project coordination experience who can take on more responsibility quickly.
