SPA has a near-term need for a highly motivated Jr. Operations Research Analyst to support key DoD programs in the National Capital Region. In this role, you will learn to apply analytic techniques, modeling and simulation tools, and clear communication skills to help senior decision makers evaluate complex defense challenges. The ideal candidate brings a strong quantitative foundation, curiosity about data driven analysis, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast paced environment. This position requires the candidate to be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance. Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a team; training will be provided. Working remote is not an option, and successful candidates are required to work from SPA HQ or from client classified spaces. #KS
The successful candidate will contribute to project teams by supporting the development of digital models, running simulations, analyzing data, and helping communicate results. Under the direction of senior analysts, day-to-day work includes the ability to:
• Support the development of digital models of complex real-world systems using commercial and proprietary tools.
• Assist in the design, build, and execution of constructive simulations using best practices for design of experiments.
• Analyze data sets using analytic frameworks and statistical methods.
• Prepare presentations, reports, and other deliverables to convey findings and recommendations.
• Balance tasks across multiple projects and maintain regular communication with task leads.
This position supports DoD programs in the National Capital Region and requires strong analytic, technical, and communication skills to inform decision‑making across complex defense challenges.
