Job Description:
Our client is seeking an Operations Specialist for a six-month, contact-to-hire opportunity. This hybrid role supports business process improvement initiatives across key functions, including operations, underwriting, sales and claims. The ideal candidate will bring insurance industry knowledge, process improvement expertise and a collaborative, solutions-driven mindset.
Responsibilities:Lead operational analysis, process improvement and transformation projects.
Interview subject matter experts across departments to map, document and evaluate current workflows and business challenges.
Plan and facilitate value stream mapping sessions to identify process gaps and opportunities.
Develop tools to assess process costs, maturity and areas for expense reduction.
Present actionable insights and recommendations to enhance productivity and drive optimization.
Support enterprise re-engineering initiatives by creating future-state models and strategies.
Create and maintain process documentation, job aids, procedural guides and workflow maps.
Track and manage project plans, roadmaps and implementation of assigned optimization initiatives.
Draft business requirements to support process automation and technology enhancements.
Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum five years of experience in insurance operations, focused on process improvement and optimization within a wholesale agency, MGA or carrier
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams
Advanced proficiency in Excel, Visio, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint and Word
Demonstrated ability to analyze, document and improve complex business processes
Lean Six Sigma Green or Yellow Belt certification
Pay Range:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $45-50 per hour.
