We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee Terminal 5 to Terminal 3 passenger connection operations at O''Hare International Airport. This individual will be responsible for supervising transportation activities, monitoring passenger transfer services, ensuring operational efficiency, and supporting frontline teams throughout the shift.

The Operations Supervisor will oversee a team of approximately three drivers and serve as a working supervisor, operating the shuttle bus when needed to maintain service levels and avoid operational disruptions. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and prior airport operations experience, particularly within Terminal 5 operations.

Pay: $25.00/hr

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position.   A specific offer will vary based on applicant's experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Shift: Evening Shift (Approx. 7:00 PM - 3:00 AM)

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience required.
  • Prior airport operations experience required.
  • Extensive knowledge of Terminal 5 operations at O''Hare International Airport is strongly preferred.
  • Valid CDL required or ability to obtain and maintain required airport driving qualifications.
  • Ability to safely operate shuttle vehicles in an active airport environment.
  • Strong leadership and employee management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and additional hours as operationally required.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to complete operational reports.
  • Oversee daily T5 to T3 passenger connection operations.
  • Supervise and support a team of approximately three shuttle drivers.
  • Monitor passenger flow and ensure timely movement between terminals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for operational issues during assigned shifts.
  • Drive the shuttle bus when operational needs require coverage.
  • Coordinate staffing and coverage to maintain service without incurring unnecessary overtime.
  • Conduct regular observations of terminal operations and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure excellent customer service is provided to passengers at all times.
  • Assist in resolving passenger concerns, service disruptions, and operational challenges.
  • Communicate effectively with airport stakeholders, management, and frontline employees.
  • Ensure adherence to ABM safety policies, airport regulations, and operational procedures.
  • Complete required reports, incident documentation, and shift summaries.
  • Train, coach, and develop team members to promote operational excellence and accountability.
  • Maintain a visible presence within Terminal 5 operations and support daily operational needs.
